As Winter approaches and the days get shorter, the people of King Township start anticipating their annual event ‘A Main Street Christmas’, hosted by the Schomberg Village Association. December 4, 2010 was the 16th year where volunteers, community groups and local businesses came together to make it possible. AMSC has become an event that showcases Schomberg at its best and brings people from afar to experience the truly special atmosphere of a bygone era.
Main Street was filled with music and revelry by street performers, carolers, children’s entertainers, magicians, ice carving and blacksmith demonstrations, a wonderful craft show, Santa Claus and live reindeer. There were refreshments like mulled cranberry juice, hot chocolate, roasted chestnuts, fresh kettlecorn, cookies, wonderful crafts and much, much more. I enjoyed the friendly small town atmosphere.

Cavalcade of Lights 2010 Scotiabank
Toronto's 44th annual Cavalcade of Lights presented by Scotiabank at Nathan Phillips Square on November 27th, 2010 Thousands of spectators enjoyed high energy performances and witnessed the lighting of Toronto's official Christmas Tree. The spectacular fireworks display was followed by a giant skating party celebrating 40 years of the Juno Awards. It gets better every year.
Festival of Fire, Ontario Place
A spectacular fireworks display by the lake was held on July 1st, 2010 at Ontario Place. The Greatest Hits Musical Theme, as chosen by 98.1 CHFI radio listeners, was choreographed by the skilled pyro-technicians from David Whysall Fireworks, Inc This event was part of a series of special events at Ontario Place and was a hit with everyone. Schomberg Remembrance Day Memorial
The small town of Schomberg, Ontario held its annual Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph on November 11, 2010. Wreaths were laid by various groups to commemorate the Canadians killed in operations in the last year. This is a short tribute video that shows the solemn respect that the people of King Township have for the soldiers. Scenes like this are played out all over Canada.

A brief overview of King Township, a rural area north of Toronto in the protected area of Oak Ridges Moraine. It's known for its equestrian farms, prized cattle, lush vegetation and a strong vibrant community. The Holland Marsh is "Canada's Salad Bowl". The 20,000 residents live in 9 villages and enjoy many community events and activities. The municipal government controls urban sprawl by building environmentally and socially sustainable communities.

The Lieutenant Governor's New Year's Levee at Fort York National Historic Site was hosted by the Honourable David C. Onley on Saturday, January 1st, 2011. The Levee, a tradition in Canada since 1646, was an opportunity that hundreds of people used to meet the Queen's representative in Ontario.

The 53rd Annual Toronto International Boat Show was held at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place. Presented by The Toronto Star, the show featured the world's largest indoor lake, over 1,500 boats and showcased a wide variety of accessories and services provided by over 550 businesses in the marine marketplace.
